Methods of pushing candidates to SmartRecruiters

There are 2 ways for a partner to push candidates’ data into the Smartrecruiters platform.

Using Application API

You will need UUID to push the candidate. You can obtain UUID 2 ways:

Use [GET postings] in Posting API to get all the customer’s jobs (CompanyIdentifier of the desired company is needed- the partner needs to contact us to obtain it)

OR

Use [GET /publications] in Job Board API to get all the jobs posted manually to your job board by the customer (job board API key is required)-> then use [GET /publications/{postingID} to obtain UUID of the job, needed to push the candidate.

Use [POST candidate] in Application API to push candidate’s data to SmartRecruiters (UUID of the job is needed- can be obtained from previous endpoints).

[Job Board API requires 2 calls to obtain uuid]

By using this method the partner can keep the candidate’s data both in their database and in the Smartrecruiters database. It’s recommended for partners who want to build fully custom career sites for customers or for job boards who want to reduce the candidates’ drop-off (which might take place if they redirect applicants to external websites for finishing the application).

Using Apply URL (in Posting API or Job Board API)

OR

  • Use [GET /publications] in Job Board API to get all the jobs posted manually to your job board by the customer (job board API key is required).

  • Use [GET /publications/{postingID}] to obtain Apply URL for a certain job posting (“id” of the job posting is required from the endpoint above)

By using this method the candidate is redirected to the SmartRecruiters site which holds the job and application process. All candidate’s data will be held in the SmartRecruiters database.

If you’re using apply URL or posting URL every candidate you push to Smartrecruiters platform will have a default source of “default careers page”. To know where the candidate came from you will need the sourcing (TRID or SID). Added at the end of apply URL/ posting URL. It should look like the following:

apply_URL.?trid=trididentifier

Contact your Partner Operations Consultant to obtain your TRID or SID.
