Company filter

Included in:
  • SmartStart
  • SmartRecruit

The Company filter lets you filter candidates based on the names of companies where they’ve worked.Screen Shot 2017-02-06 at 5.15.33 PM.png

The Company filter does not support Boolean operators (e.g., AND, OR).

SmartRecruiters will extract the names of these companies when the candidate applies by:

  • Uploading a resume,
  • Providing their LinkedIn or Indeed profile, or
  • Manually filling out their resume.

Filter by company name

To filter candidates by their current and past companies:Screen Shot 2017-02-06 at 5.15.45 PM.png

  1. Click the filter’s search field to see a list of every company on your candidates’ applications.
  2. Select one from the list, or start typing to filter the list for a particular company.

For performance reasons, SmartRecruiters will retrieve the first 1000 job titles from your account, rather an exhaustive list. If you have a lot of candidates, you may find that the list of titles doesn’t include the one you’re searching for.

If so, just type the whole title, then click Add: <title> to search for it.

Filter by current or past company

By default, the Company filter results include candidates who currently or previously worked at a company. You can also limit your search to retrieve ony current or past company names.Screen Shot 2017-02-06 at 5.15.35 PM.png
A candidate’s current company is the most recent company on their application.

Filter for most common company

Underneath the Company filter are listed the top five most common company names  on your candidates’ applications. Select one or more to filter for candidates with that title.
