SmartRecruiters' Slack App makes it easy to share summaries of candidates in Slack so that the hiring team can easily access candidate summaries and profiles.
Connect Slack Team account
The first step to setting up the App is to connect SmartRecruiters with your team's Slack Team account. Admins can connect their team's Slack Team account from the Slack Integration page of Settings / Admin.
You can connect a Slack Team account to only one SmartRecruiters company account at a time.
Connect Slack user account
Once the App is activated by the Admin, each individual user (including Admins) must connect their Slack user account in order to share candidates in Slack.
You can connect a Slack User account to only one SmartRecruiters user account at a time.
Launch Slack channel
Anyone who has connected their Slack user account and is on the hiring team for a job will be able to launch a public Slack channel for the job from the Activity tab of the job's profile:
Doing so will automatically invite anyone on the hiring team who has connected their Slack user account into the channel. Users who haven't yet connected their account won't be automatically added.
The channel's name will reflect the REF number for the job, which is listed at the top of the Job's profile or on the Job Details page.
To share a candidate, just go to the candidate's profile, and copy the URL from your browser and paste it into any channel or DM in Slack.
Users who have connected their Slack account can share candidates in any channel or DM, even if they don't launch a dedicated channel in Slack.
The integration is one-way: conversations in Slack are never added to the candidate profile.
